Aptly named The Library by its creator Kasemtham Sornsong, this stylish island-luxe hotel on Thailand’s Koh Samui was born from a desire to create a true lifestyle holiday experience. Inspiration was taken from that vacation pursuit du-jour – the reading of a great book. So, of course, there is a huge beachside library here stocked with all kinds of tomes and novels.
An elegant minimalist structure, the hotel is set in a natural environment on Chaweng Beach, with 26 suite/studio cabins scattered amongst the lush vegetation. Each cabin consists of a suite space on the ground floor and a studio upstairs, complete with ocean view, and styled with a casual elegance. Throughout the hotel there is a strong color palate of vivid red, moody grey and the starkest of white, with the coolest of cool furniture and modern art. It’s so contemporary and chic, it hurts. A totally unique design concept on an island that is fast becoming known as a style mecca.
Activities and recreational functions are set along the beachfront area comprising of a modern grey-tone restaurant named ‘The Page’, an incredible blood red swimming pool, and the highlight of the project, ‘The Library unit’.
The Library is a member of Design Hotels. Super suave, modern island glam at its best!
