Melbourne craftster Pippa is the talented hands behind one of our favourite new finds, Ouch Flower. She makes a very cool range of macrame hangers, wall hangings and those rather delicious dip dyed tassel garlands that we featured in our LUST LIST in the Autumn 13 issue of Queensland Homes magazine. Yes, we love a good old tassel. And these babies have the winning combination of classic craft chic and oh-so-trendy ombre effect.
Pippa has taken her love of all things retro, thrift and Mid Century as influences in her designs. She’s now selling them through a range of online stores, as well as her own Etsy store. You should also check out her blog for some creative inspiration.
And the name Ouch Flower? “My son coined the phrase,to describe all the Cacti and Succulents inhabiting our home. Some times we are given things, when we least expect it and from unlikely places. That day I listened and haven’t looked back, thanks to my beautiful boy”!
