French brand Moustache brings together some of the world’s best designers to create products of undeniable coolness. And when they unveiled their latest designs at Maison Objet and following at Milan Design Week during late 2012 and in the recent months of 2013, there was a collective swoon over the cute and quirky additions.
Benjamin Graindorge‘s colourful series of ceramic Heirloom vases (above) designed for Moustache have an interesting take on floral display with their curved and hooded tops that wrap over and around the blooms they hold (available in dark blue, light blue and yellow) while his lamp ceramic sculpture, The Cave (below), is an inspired object of art.
Paris designer Inga Sempé presented her Vapeur Motif lamps (below), with their voluminous, ethereal pleated Tyvek® shades in the softest of pastel colours, alongside her range of wall mounted shelves and dishes that continue on from last year’s Balcon collection, with deeper dishes for savvy storage of small items like keys or to display ornaments, as well as smaller versions with mirrors that would make an eye catching addition to any bathroom or hallway.
Continuing on the theme of good looking utilitarian display, French designer Sébastien Cordoleani has created a range of wall-mounted containers and hooks he has called Angolo (below), that look awesome when displayed in clusters and make a bold style statement (as well as offering the perfect home for stashing sunglasses or hooking your umbrella, hat or coat!).
And for a fun and tongue-in-cheek take on a classic, Melbourne based artist and musician Dylan Martorell created the Tiger rug (below).
Simple. statement style with a modern edge is the Moustache signature. Being that Design Pilgrim is based in Brisbane, Australia, we were excited to hear that we can hunt it all down right here in our great city at Dawson Interiors, with the forward trending interior designer James Dawson bringing the goods to local design lovers like us.
