Rogerseller are set to release a range of new products this month, and we haven’t been this excited about bathroom design in ages! Introducing the gorgeous new Pirch furniture collection and Amélie – a contemporary interpretation of the traditional claw foot bath.
Amélie is inspired by a traditional chaise lounge ‘the Méridienne’, a 19th century French name given to an asymmetrical daybed with higher headrest and lower foot rest. You know the ones … they’re all very Marie Antoinette, grand in aesthetics, yet undeniably playful and relaxed. Manufactured in a more modern Lucite acrylic, Amélie has a seamless contour and a unique character that sits just as easily in a modern bathroom as it would in a more traditional scene.
The Pirch collection is hand crafted from American Black Walnut by local Australian fine furniture craftsman Nick Johnston, with solid surface inserts designed to sit perfectly with all free standing baths (it looks incredibly stylish teamed with Amélie!). Comprising of a bath bridge (pictured below) and side table (top), this is understated bathing landscape for the most subtle and chic sanctuaries.
You can get an appreciation for the beauty of the Pirch collection in this video (below) that Rogerseller have produced in collaboration with designer Nick Johnston and maker John Beckwith, filmed in his workshop discussing the development of the range.
