Budding fashion design student Judith Ortiz has caught our attention after her showcase during the RAW event, with her first ever fashion line for her label JUZU based on a sustainable fashion ethos.
Currently studying for her final year of Fashion Design at the Billy Blue College of Design in Brisbane, Judith’s work was discovered by RAW directors after she released images of her work on Facebook.
Judith explains: “In the semester we just completed we were tasked with brand development – setting up social media pages and publishing our designs. I set up a photo shoot for my label JUZU with a model, photographer and make-up artist and couldn’t dream of what would happen next. Within one hour of posting the images online a RAW director messaged me asking if I would like to take part in the February 14th RAW Showcase.”
JUZU clothes are made from eco-friendly materials, with a deconstructed and edgy style.
