We’re from Brisbane. We love this city. And damn it, we’ve got some talented folk right here! Example: Everingham & Watson. These two lovely ladies – Susie Everingham and Liz Watson – are a little bit of home grown Australian awesomeness, and they’re taking their shared love of our lifestyle and culture and creating some quirky and cool homewares.
Working from their studio base on acreage in Brisbane’s west, they’ve found a dual dynamic that melds their two very distinct style and talents to create their own range of homewares which they sell alongside other sourced gifts. While Susie oversees the business and interiors side of things, Liz uses her skills in a graphic design and visual arts to develop new products and designs.
They make some super funky, bright and colourful screen printed tea towels with pineapples and prawns and all sorts of Queenslander fabulousness, and a whole bunch of lovelies that made us think these guys have got something really special going on here. Jewellery, cut-out blackboards you could fight your kid for, very cool plywood printed boxes, old school retro-inspired pottery and vessels, tableware that would make your grand mama smile … they may have started as a pop up shop in Brisvagas, but E&W are constantly pumping out lovely things from their online store, and by the looks of it, they have big things coming their way.
